Hao-Ching Chan and Miyu Kato were crowned doubles champions at the Vanda Pharmaceuticals Athens Open WTA 250, producing an outstanding performance to defeat Maia Lumsden and Qianhui Tang 7-6(3), 4-6, 10-7 in Sunday's final.

The doubles final, which opened the schedule on the ninth and final day of the tournament at Stadium Sports Center, delivered an entertaining contest between two evenly matched teams. The opening set was decided by a tiebreak before Lumsden and Tang responded to level the match, sending the championship to a decisive match tie-break.

Chan and Kato held their nerve in the closing stages to seal the victory and lift the inaugural doubles trophy in Athens, earning warm applause from the spectators following an impressive display.

With the title, the champions also collected 250 WTA doubles ranking points and the winners' prize of €11,830.
